Previously, on Survivor:
Cylons were created by man.
A bunch of people wrote stories that didn’t end. Many were fantastic, and left audiences hungry for more. Here’s the proof.
This week, you get to pay off the stories. However, you may not pay off your own story. Each of you will take someone else’s cliffhanger, and write the “next episode.” Hey, that’s how it’s done in TV. (Okay, so there’s an executive producer to hold the show together, but still, it’s sort of like this.)
The effectiveness of the payoff will be part of it, but it wouldn’t hurt if the story has the same feel all the way through.
Expect judging to take some time, since DK and I will probably need to read the lead-in stories before reading the payoffs to get the full effect. All in all, this is a stupid undertaking, but I have no obligations next Sunday, so whatever.
Stories can be 400 words. I think that’s what the cliffhangers were, so there you go.
You have until Sunday, January 1st at 2pm Central, and the two-elimination possibility is still in effect in the extremely likely event that two people decide they’re done with the game. Please don’t eff this up because you’re drunk or whatever. Just do it early if you have to, alright? I’d lengthen it to Monday, but Monday doesn’t work for DK like at all, so just plan your challenge accordingly. Hell, David and Dean usually have theirs in by Thursday.
Cheers, Survivors. This should be interesting.

We had 500 words, but whatever. 400 is fine.

Yeah, 400 should be plenty.

Snark develops quickly around here. It’s pretty much the perfect incubator for such things.

Please welcome my new baby girl, Anastasia to the world today. Born 12/27 @ 5:57pm.
By the by I guess I didn’t read the whole challenge for last week. I thought it was just the tag line… Nice work by all if you that did it correctly.

Well done, sir. Well done. I replied to it on Facebook, but I’ll do so here too, ’cause my site’s way cooler (if a little less popular).

OOH! One other thing, just for clarity’s sake: mention whose story you’re paying off, since we can read the setup immediately before your finish.

You know what, Pete? I did forget something: scoring.
Since these all come from different source material, I’ll stick with Netflix on this one. It seems the safer bet.

just testing out the application on my phone for voice control . this could be a slightly less dangerous way to play were both all driving . or werewolf

I dunno about safer. Seems to me that it’s likely to get you accused of being wolfy.

I was thinking about how to word a response to Beau here. Yours nailed it, so I’ll just get out of the way.

Sigh. I can’t even pick one. There’s so much potential in the cliffhangers that I feel like I won’t be able to do justice to any of them. Even starting to think about them is wrong. It’s like taking a mint condition action figure out of its packaging.

I wrote the ending to mine, just for fun. Then I stared at the others for about 10 minutes before giving up. Saturday I’ll be forced to pick one, I guess.
