The repair droids jumped into an escape pod and set course for a nearby wormhole into another dimension where repair droids get to sit on the beach and give each other congratulatory backrubs or something. To be honest I was kind of running out of things for them to do in the flavor text.
But the townspeople soldiered on, trying desperately to make sense of what in the world was going on in this game. Nettiebarron retired to the library. Some malicious force was guiding this entire voyage, she was sure of it. What she needed was an expensive cocktail and some time to sit down and sort this whole thing out. She had been in the library the past three nights, and it really felt like she was finally getting somewhere. Nettie read for a short while, until a thought struck her and she sprung from her chair to find the others…
Unfortunately, with the repair droids gone and no longer watching over her, a wolf could easily sneak up and devour her without giving even a hint of a warning.

Or would the wolves rejoice as the good ship Leche disintegrated into nothingness, taking all the villagers with it? It would be up to these three to decide who will join the neutrals in winning this perfectly logical and easy to follow game of werewolf.

Okay so the gamer isn’t over and there’s only 1 wolf left.
But we only killed 2.
And we started with 4.
The entire game we’ve been thinking that 4 wolves in a 14 player game was a lot. I think we may have had a good wolf. I think that good wolf’s name was todahshy. I’m not sure what his abilities were or how he was supposed to help us, but he’s the only death besides spooky that had no reveal.
That being said, it’s kinda irrelevant now.
We had only one wolf left yesterday and that wolf was Ash. I’m not sure if the neutrals knew there was only one left. They probably legitimately thought there was 2 and that’s why Melissa was going so hard after me. She DID have other information and the no lynch crap was bullshit and Annette’s protection was bullshit. If we had lynched Ash, the game would have ended.
I feel a lot better about Melissa’s posts yesterday, given it’s clear she was just playing the game. No wonder I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone.
Anyway, i now know TDO is cleared and there’s only one wolf. TDO, my actions yesterday should make this obvious. Can we win now please?

Ash day 1:
First reaction to viola’s horrid post wasn’t anything about it being wolfy. It was “haha basically”. He also stays away from any of spooky’s comments about it being stagey.
Does ask viola why she’s placing a vote and is quick to point out that revenge voting is a bad thing. He then goes after viola with spooky pretty decently. But as I pointed out several times, viola was begging to be bussed by a fellow wolf. Everyone bussed her.
When I provided the tinfoil theory, ash’s only response was “ohhh true” because he saw a way to keep spooky in the conversation.
Makes the classic wolf excuse of saying exactly why he’ll be gone “hanging with girlfriend” and gets shit for it. I think I even defended it though. Vanishing at this point is good because viola has the heat and he needs to let it slough off and not overextend.
When he returns he brings Annette into the wolf conversation… but only because others had. He never had an original view on anyone.
He defends codefox from spooky’s attacks.
He feigns confusion and when spooky says he shouldn’t be he just says ok.
Mentions wanting to lynch KG simply for providing nothing, if not for the ratio being so bad.
Unvotes Royal to vote viola again, saying that “royal has been around now” even though he hadn’t. I questioned this. He was the only one voting viola at this time so it seemed safe.
I then poke at ash to participate with something meaningful, mentioning my willingness to eject him into space. Then I vote for him. He responds with some lame reads that point only to what everyone else has said. Royal notices it and calls it wishy-washy, voting ash also.

Ash Day 2:
First comment about the events are that on the other forum we play on, immediately throwing another wolf under the bus is not advised. Yet he did just that. And gave himself the out right here. KG points that out.
Parrots the other opinions on viola pointing to a nettie wolf.
Defends spooky from joe because spooky is so obviously Good at this point and joe is an easy patsy. It’s also the only thing he comments on for hours.
Mentions Joe and Annette as most suspicious, with pressure okay on KG and Colin. All Goods.
Then he has a conversation with Annette where he says that voting another wolf to look good isn’t out of the question. Well yeah, that’s what you did.
Mentions TDO, Royal, and spooky as Good and hunting but then leaves room for “but Royal and spooky are really good at this so they could be faking”.
Votes Annette and leaves the possibility that he might vanish for some weird reason.
When I vote joe, he takes that as an opportunity and goes after him too. He unvotes Annette saying he “thinks” he believes her claim. KG points out the wording there.
When Royal puts ash in his reads list as wolfy, he responds that he’s not a wolf but does agree on joe being one and maybe could put codefox in that list but just isn’t seeing it.
Later mentions that he’s probably blind but is just not seeing codefox.
Opens up a door with Colin that he is going to read his game.
During me and spooky’s conversation about code, ash tries to get me to give code’s valid excuse before code can speak for himself.
Doubles down on joe.
Starts bussing codefox a bit now that spooky’s made his case, but not enough to actually vote there.
Makes the wolfy post about pun is most likely a wolf with codefox as a close second. It was pointed out later how this was classic wolf keeping another wolf high in the reads but not actually going there.

Ash Day 3:
Shows up to comment on spooky’s beer jokes.
Comments on Royal being missing at end of day.
Doesn’t show up again for a couple hours, right after Annette gives us codefox as a wolf. Votes codefox. Then he says he let himself get distracted by punman.
Disappears again for several hours because he was at a movie then responds to me asking for his take by asking who I want to lynch. I flip it to asking him who he wants to lynch and get no response.
Spooky and I discuss ash as bussing wolf where I point out that he’s getting practice elsewhere. Ash makes sure to point out that he’s sucked there.
I even go into all this about Ash at this point, looking for an alternate lynch since codefox wasn’t supposedly lynchable.
I point out that he’s been giving royal crap for not being around but then doing it himself. He says he only said something once and I point out 3 separate comments. I even go into why “glancing at the phone while girlfriend is in the bathroom” was a bad comment because he only made jokes posts with that time. Nothing of substance. Then he claims he was gonna comment on wanting to go after codefox but his phone ate the message…
Melissa shows up and asks what the plan is, to which ash says he believes it’s KG. I ask why, because ash hasn’t laid out anything about KG himself. He’s parroting again.
I finally force him to take a stand and he says it’s Colin P.
Spooky points out his weird comments about TDO which appear to be ash looking for a reason to keep TDO in the wolf pool without commiting to it.
Makes a wolfy vote on KG with “Hmm” in which spooky points it out.
Seems very concerned that we realize spooky’s unvote was after majority was hit. TDO mentions ash jumping up after all this and spooky agrees. Ash gets pretty defensive here.

“Awww, no we need spooky!” PLEASE
In fact, all his comments were so wolfy that I just started commenting “this is wolfy” on them all.
Says he doesn’t buy Colin P as neutral then is quick to agree with Royal that not killing DP was weird.
He votes for codefox with a “curse you wolf” comment which sounds so forced.
After Annette’s reveal on Royal being villager, he responds begging to lynch codefox. He goes hard at codefox because… wolf view duh.
I vote codefox and mention that ash is looking extra wolflike and his responses are also very fake. “Whaaaa”
He even responds to my stuff that he’s pretty sure I’m innocent. That I’m a good hunting villager. But now that’s all changed huh? TDO points out that ash is avoiding my question and then I point out that not only is he doing that but he’s trying to pocket me. I also point out how badly he’s skirting the question and prod him to provide more where he says TDO and Prime are the most guilty.
Again he comments later with a simple “I’m not a wolf” rather than with anything of substance.
He immediately assumes Colin’s neutral claim is a lie rather than a possible truth because he had already cleared me from the wolf pool and needed Colin as a patsy.
Finally he flips his opinion to me being a wolf now that Colin’s neutral claim is out there and I pointed out his inconsistencies.
Goes after TDO for his always a villager defense.
I ask multiple times for him to build a case on his new theory of TDO and Inkarnit as wolves and he never does.

Stacy opened her eyes. The Leche burned around her; wires hung from the ceiling sparking electricity and lights flickered on and off. What the hell had happened? The last thing she remembered was laughing at something hilarious DG had said and then feeling a great sense of boredom overtake her as the ship sailed on endlessly through the galaxy.
But now… everything was smoky, and through the haze she saw inkarnit and ash10101 circling each other, each snarling and looking like they wanted to kill each other. As she watched in horror, they fell on each other and tried to tear each other limb from limb. TDO, the space gorilla, stood by, waiting to declare a winner.
Ash rose from the fracas, holding the bloody shiv he had fashioned out of the small leftover fragment of todahshy’s funny bone. “One down.” He smiled, then turned and devoured TDO without much of a fight at all. Stacy tried to back away in horror, but Ash kept advancing. The ghosts of DG, codefox, and viola seemed to circle behind him, crowing triumphantly as the Leche fell to dust around them.

1. I’m excited for the semi-newb wolf team we have for this game (ash10101, codefox, violabeenice). Of course, it could be a disaster, but that’s half the fun, right?
2. Annette as seer is interesting, because I doubt she’ll be killed early. Could be a problem for the wolves. Her night 0 peek is Dread Pirate, which just makes me angry because…
3. Dread Pirate is the neutral. I tried to hide him from the village and then the seer went and peeked him on the first night! Dammit. Anyway, I’m really excited about the neutral role (although I think it’s a nigh-impossible win condition) because it is based on Will’s own idea of the Rodents of Unusual Size from The Princess Bride werewolf game. Kind of cool that Will gets to be the one to play it.
He’s trying to engineer tie votes, and he also has the angel power. For every tie vote or angel save he gets another player on his side. If the neutrals outnumber the other two factions, neutrals win.
4. spooky and kg both email me to complain about being a villager again. random.org is a cruel mistress. TDO enters late replacing … a vanillager.
5. My biggest concern is that the village wins handily without killing off the neutrals, because then technically the neutrals haven’t lost, but there’s no mechanism for the game to really end. It’s a flaw that I see before the game starts, but I’m going to ruminate during the early days about how exactly to let the game go on. This is part of the reason for my “lie” in the intro post about there being 4 wolves. Gives me an excuse to prolong the game if needed.

6. I’m going to be driving for most of the early bits, so I’m going to miss the fun part of the game.
7. (6:00 PM) holy hell, there was no fun part. The village came out firing and a lot of their targets are wolves. Ash10101 and viola found themselves in trouble, both for kind of textbook wolf tendencies. Codefox is doing an admirable job of staying away although he pushes Annette in favor of Viola pretty directly, which may or may not come back around.
8. Annette raises the idea of a neutral (since she knows there is one, this makes sense). Unfortunately, people take the mod at face value – always dangerous.
9. TDO wins best avatar. Fan-tastic
10. 7:07 on day 1, todahshy puts all three wolves as the top three on his wolf list. This could be bad for the wolves. Of course he also titles his list as “way to early” and “laughable to look back on”, so there’s that. He also puts annette way down on his list, running counter to a fair bit of the village.
11. Reading back through day 1, Annette makes the following comment – “I have a wicked medium headache” – medium=seer? and codefox follows that up with “I’m not sure what you just said here…” so perhaps the wolves find the seer before any damage is done?
12. Here we are 1.5 hours from the deadline and only one vote is on a wolf (put there by another wolf – ash on viola). I don’t think this will give them much of a reprieve in the coming days, but the push on Royal Ape could have staying power, as people were just dealing with quiet wolves in the last game. (night edit – Nope.)
13. Ashton and Inkarnit go back and forth for a while. I think Ash’s general demeanor might get him off the block because he’s kind of hard to get a read on. (later edit – I was right, this was well-argued by Ashton dropping him on a couple of lists)
14. Also people discuss missing players as is required on day 1. The wolves have been more or less present, which might save them if these arguments gain traction.
15. There are 8 people with 1 or 2 votes and no one with more. There is a half hour to go to nightfall. Dread Pirate has got this tie vote in the bag. (later edit – ha!)
16. (8:45) Viola is in the lead with the other two of her wolfpack accounting for 2/3rds of the vote. Most interesting.
17. The village comes to a consensus and reaches a majority on the first day! This is bad for the Pirate, and I wonder if I shouldn’t have started him off with a partner. Maybe next time. For now, sorry Will.

18. Annette peeks Melissa, Pirate protects Spooky. Hard to argue with either of those picks. Melissa will be alive tomorrow and probably will survive until Annette reveals.
19. The wolves kill todahshy. Again, not a bad move. Not much else to say as I didn’t see much night talk except for spooky and inkarnit both worrying to me that they are to be killed.
DAY 2

20. I didn’t update these all day, but there’s a fair bit.
21. codefox is on spooky’s radar, which is a scary place to be. Spooky is reading pretty well right now and Royal Ape is also consistently good on reads. The village is in a very good place.
22. Annette gets some heat in the middle of the day and claims early. Good to get it out there, although I do wonder if the push on her was going to evaporate or not. We’ll never know now.
23. The seer reveals the neutral role and several conclude that the villagers are one more short. It’s actually the wolves that are one less than advertised, which may make this a short game. Except…
24. Ashton is off everybody’s radar (except kg who votes for him and is quickly rebuked by spooky). He could run for a while as a lone wolf if forced to.
25. Once again, it’s two hours until night, and I’m excited for Pirate’s chances. A tie vote isn’t impossible at this point and the angel save is going to be nail-biting stuff. This game has been exciting and most everyone has been engaged. I’m enjoying it, if nothing else.
26. TDO points out that “every day the seer survives is a loss for the wolves.” Exactly. The seer has to die.
27. There was some discussion about who benefits from hiding the roles. Mostly that was done to benefit the neutral, although you could argue both ways, I think. The wolves don’t know what’s arrayed against them as far as powers go (not much). And the village doesn’t know what powers the wolves have (none). It makes for an interesting psychological game.
28. What’s interesting is that there may come a point where the neutral doesn’t want to help the village any more with an angel save. The village numbers are the biggest obstacle for Pirate right now, but I think the need to recruit outweighs that on day 2. On day 4 or 5? that will be a decision.
29. Spooky comments that kg and code have been sitting on three votes with no pile on. Right after that ash comes in and votes for neither of them with the day 1 reasoning of “I want to hear more from him”. This is the power of being off the radar. If ash had any suspicion on him, this would flip triggers. Instead I bet it passes unremarked upon.
30. Spooky is HOUNDING codefox. Which is what spooky does, and codefox is a wolf, so good on spooky, but he is relentless.
31. If Pirate is around, he’s got to be sweating this a little bit. 3-3-2 are the votes, but the momentum clearly pushing a codefox runaway soon. How does someone build a case for punman or kg at this point and not get called out for distracting from codefox?
32. Melissa is cleared as a villager here, but mostly spending her limited time joke-feuding with inkarnit. I don’t know what the angel-save, wolf-kill dynamic is going to be tonight, but boy I would feel like I was wasting a kill if I were a wolf targeting her.
33. A sudden silence falls on the village as the deadline nears. I swear to God, if Pirate steals this into a tie, I am going to celebrate like no other.
34. Joe pops in to say he can’t pop in. No comment.
35. Oh man, I’m dying for Pirate here. Over/under on how many f5 hits he’s had in the last 10 minutes?
35. Hoo-boy, the village after being all over codefox for quite a while and not really getting a good reason to jump off him, decide to jump on a silent punman instead. I, um, don’t know about this. Spooky is already kicking himself before I post the reveal.
36. I just want to say that this was crazy exciting for Pirate, todah, and I watching the votes move toward and away from the tie.
NIGHT 2

37. Pirate immediately protects Annette. He’s got to get a convert here.
38. Annette immediately peeks codefox. So now Pirate may be hastening the wolves demise while at the same time getting a foothold in the game at the same time.
39. And the wolves target Annette. Boom! We’ve got ourselves a neutral team. No kill, but the village still loses a player.
40. Colin Prime is the new neutral. That’s an interesting random choice, he’s got some heat, so not likely to die by wolf, but might have to fight to survive some votes.
41. Current numbers are 2 wolves, 7 villagers, 2 neutral. Codefox will die tomorrow and Annette will die at night, so day 4 will be 1-6-2. So a tie vote and a villager overtime death on day 4 means it would get really close to a neutral win.
DAY 3

42. So ignore that last point all together. Pirate has blown everything up with his “reveal” of some pretty convenient powers. Annette revealed codefox as a wolf (of course), but the village never really reacted to that (because….?).
43. So instead Pirate gets to come in and blow up the entire day (and maybe the night kill as well). I love it. Love it! An antagonistic neutral (to both wolf and villager) is the absolute most fun.
44. Pirate even put in a way to ensure a tiebreaker in his post and yet the village has ignored it so far. “The other couldn’t die during the day while I’m still alive (unless in a tiebreaker).” So the village, if they believe Pirate, should tiebreak codefox and someone else (although this is tough with codefox having a vote) and then kill codefox.
45. So if this wasn’t clear by this point in the notes, I’m all-in on hoping that Pirate and the neutrals win this thing.
46. Not revealing roles or giving out much information at all has really allowed lots of people to get creative. If I may pat myself on the back here, I think this is working out spectacularly so far.
47. The other consequence of all this is that codefox is now a wolf playing as a wolf who won’t be touched. That guy is living my dream!
48. Inkarnit – “we need to do some heavy math here” – then proceeds to do some simple subtraction. I know what he meant, but that was an easy target.
49. Melissa jokes that there are two neutrals. Hilarious.
50. Regarding the question of whether to lynch Pirate or not (assuming you believe his reveal). I think you leave him alive and get as many Annette peeks as you can, right? Lynching Pirate is essentially killing Annette, which seems like a non-starter. Codefox isn’t going to get any less wolfy if he stays alive.
51. The village kills kg, which is whatever, but the fact that they just ignored Pirate’s hint to go for a tie is … weird.
NIGHT 3

52. Hey, the Pirate gamble worked. The wolves kill spooky, which is probably not a bad idea, but who does Pirate protect?
53. He protects Melissa, but agonizes over it. No recruits tonight.
54. Annette peeks Ape, clearing him.
55. Apparently Colin didn’t read his email, so now he has and is aware that he’s a neutral. That’s good.
DAY 4

56. The village takes a while to kill codefox, but gets there eventually.
57. Colin comes out strong as a neutral which I can understand being skeptical of, but with a clear target, that’ll skate by just fine.
58. The drama tonight comes down to whether Pirate gets a save. If he does, I think the neutrals are set. I also don’t really see how the wolves avoid it. They have to take a shot at Annette, she can’t keep getting peeks, but the angel is obviously going there as well.
59. Codefox is dead. Ash gets the unenviable job of being a lone wolf.
NIGHT 4

60. Game: neutrals – Pirate protects Annette and Ash can’t do anything but take his shot. No dice and now Melissa is a neutral.
61. Annette, who will survive to reveal this peek, peeks TDO.

62. I could call this for neutrals, but … I guess it has to play out.
63. I feel bad for inkarnit. He has actually mostly figured this out (except that there’s only one wolf left) and still he is being stonewalled by a bunch of antagonistic neutrals.
64. Ash will have to switch to vote with the neutrals to force a tie to survive which will make the neutrals win and then probably kill ash in overtime. I think this ends tonight.
65. Now hold the phone, Annette unvotes. Hoo boy, this could get weird(er).

I loved moderating this game. People were active for the most part. There were some great reads, especially early on. The neutrals weakened the wolves AND the village and got some quality trolling going on. I really liked that the neutrals worked as a punishment for the village for not pushing to kill wolves. Pirate (and others, but mostly Pirate) played it so that the role played right into the village’s worst tendencies. It came down to a final day and I got to drop some amazingly fun reveals. Thanks to everyone for playing, and I hope all the players had half as much fun as I did.

I was enjoying mostly causing Wolfson trouble, but this only got better in Day 4 when I thought there was two wolves because then I felt 100% sure on Wolfson and could cause him more angst. Then I got to be neutral, and all hell broke loose. Seeing Wolfson’s complete loss of control was amazing. “WHY IS EVERYONE BEING STUPID?!?” That was basically his sentiment and it was great.

The goal of the misdirection was to hide the neutral. Was it necessary? Probably not. Did it change the gameplay here? … I don’t see where it did. You don’t like it, I understand that.

Does introducing a Good Wolf role make any sense when no one is told anything about roles? That just seems like it would be sadistic and unkind on the part of the mod. I know people are throwing out theories in the game and don’t have enough information to make perfectly logical choices, but in a game where this much information is withheld I think it would be unfair to ask the village to solve something like a good wolf or unreliable peeks and such. It was hard for me not to jump in when people suggested this and point out that I was trying to make a fair game, not just a twisted mindfuck of a game.

I screwed up. I seriously couldn’t decide between karn or ash. What did it for me was how karn kept coming at me as a wolf in the most illogical sense on day 5 (or 4?) I’d it wasn’t for that i would have went ash.

I’m very happy that neutrals absorbed me considering I brought up the no lynch plan to begin with.
I did consider possibility of neutral being some sort of “blob” mechanic but the second neutral claim through me for a massive loop.

Also, I went back and studied my own game after I died. I determined that I didn’t really do much wrong on day 1 that I could see…only spooky suspected me really seriously from what I could tell.

Day 2 I don’t think I did so hot…it’s always tough under pressure to come up with good answers and Tuesday was a mentally draining day at work so I was just not quite as sharp as I wanted to be. And I really was away packing. But day 1, at least I didn’t think was terrible but I know you definitely saw something because you were dead sure. I just don’t think really anyone else saw it so I’m not too worried.
And yeah, what’s the fun of this if you can’t go back and forth? That’s the whole point!

If codefox thought that he couldn’t be day killed, then he could have thrown off any of our attempts to force a tie. We thought he couldn’t be day killed, so if he jumped off a vote and forced himself to be the leading vote getter, it wouldn’t have worked. Of course that would have worked in the villages favor, but we didn’t know that at the time.

which is my point. The villagers thought of the neutrals as special villagers, they didn’t think of them as having a separate goal or being neutral.
Nobody looked back through DP’s game to see what he was trying to accomplish (he straight up asked for a tie on day 2 – he strongly implied that a tie on day 3 was the way to go). Everyone just accepted that DP was saving the seer and hey, isn’t that great for us!

This was an absolute BLAST to watch. Great job by everyone. Plus I can just claim that I knew who all 3 wolves were on day 1 and make fun of you all 😛
I still don’t get how TDO picked Inkarnit over Ash after the last two days. Before that I could see Inkarnit being wolfy. but yesterday he was so obvious villager it has to absolve him. Ash was so horrible over the kg kill (knowing exactly his vote totals when he plays so ambivalent every other moment of the game) and the glee when KG was jailed just screamed obvious wolf. Spooky saw it but know one was willing to follow his lead after he was dead. Shame, I really thought the village should have had this at that point.
Between DP, codefox, Colin and Melissa yesterday I was thoroughly entertained!
