I’m not entirely sure how much I want to let you off that hook, but yes, it worked out well.
Last night I got myself in this weird rabbit hole trying to make Todah either a wolf or a wolf who had been seen by the Superwolf, so he was making an early seer play to bus her. Then I realized how stupid this was because there would be three different people who could all claim that the seers hadn’t peeked at viola on night zero.

nibbish being the night one kill makes as much sense to me as viola being the night zero peek.
There’s no role for nibbish listed above (even ‘villager’). With the spot being free of roles, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to assume he was one of the three seers or not.
I don’t see anyone here quite as clearly as I see viola, but I have a couple of thoughts. We’ll see how those people do.
There’s also a chance, however remote, that viola and another wolf knew about each other yesterday. 18%. Probably not enough to look for things in her speech. I think she was incredibly neutral anyway, so I doubt there’s much to glean there.

As for nibbish, he had a fairly low-key day for someone who got night-killed. He tangled a bit with eschapp and bhiggum, but that was really it. He received one vote all day (from nettiebarron).

Feels that way, yeah. Wolf makes a mildly unconventional kill to set it up as surprising, then can’t help but point it out in the driest, most basic way possible.
Maybe it’s wrong, because Ash never says enough to allow for a super-clear read, but I feel fairly good about it.

That series of events last night cleared a few things up for me. 1) I should remember when I’m playing Werewolf and not wander off at 8pm to shower and do various other things, therefore missing on the last bit; and 2) Viola was a wolf.
When looking back at yesterday, Nibbs was agreeing non-stop with Todah about Viola while having absolutely no reason to agree to this. And it wasn’t just passive agreement. He was STRONGLY agreeing. Which makes me think Nibbs was another seer and was night-killed. At the very least, he LOOKED like another seer. If that’s the case — and he was killed for being seemingly seer-y — the wolves included individuals who were paying attention. What I’m saying, Spooky, is I don’t think it’s Ash who’s the wolf.
Right now, my admittedly-broken-but–sometimes-right-twice-a-day wolf radar is pinging on:
Inkarnit (for just dancing around calling himself a wolf and making stupid comments about bieng so wolfy all day yesterday…which sounded like a forced cover for actually BEING a wolf…DG pulls the “call myself a wolf to be funny act” much better)
Spooky (because I think he’d have sussed out the connection between Nibbs and Todah, yet he’s not bringing up that logical deducion right now and instead landing a vote on Ash for simply not paying attention)
I think DPWY or DG would also have read Nibbs’ game as seer-y, so I’d like to hear from them about that.
I am not sure at all about ESchapp, though, and I want to hear from him more before I remove him from my suspect list. So I’ll vote him to put the heat on him.

How did it work as strategy? You were talking about the odds of finding a wolf, which are the exact same whether it involved a seer or not. In fact, if we believed todah to be one of the seers, it was actually a safer play because we had less chance of accidentally killing one of the three seers.

Knowing only that todahshy was a seer and that he saw viola as a wolf, the chance that she was actually a wolf was 50%.
(either todah was the true seer (100% she’s a wolf) or the false seer (0% she’s a wolf) or he’s the 50/50 (50% chance – clearly) since there was an even chance of any of those three scenarios… 50%)

I completely expected to be questioned today, and I’m fine with that. My opening comment was tongue-in-cheek.
I still think the best play yesterday, with no other information except the odds of villager/wolf, would have been to vote someone other than viola.
But we did have other information- spooky’s wolf sense- and enough other people saw the same thing that voting viola was a good play that worked out very well for us.

And this is why I brought up the seers role-claiming. It would clarify nettie’s status and give us four confirmed villagers. The martyrs can’t claim, but they can follow the lead of those four confirmed villagers and that gives the village majority. Is there a serious problem with this strategy that I’m missing?

But it would give the wolves info on which Seer is which. Perhaps that’s okay because it’s day 2 of, essentially, an 11 player game.
We could almost guarantee, at that point, that the wolves would start playing whack-a-mole with our Seers.

Mixed bag. We have two seers, since the real seer and false seer have the exact same ability to suss out wolves. So, better to keep someone hidden.
I would be in favor of 50-50 coming out if he or she knows they’re the 50-50.

If one of the seers saw viola as a wolf, then they know that the third seer is the false seer.
That would be the only way that a seer claim actually tells us anything about actual roles (plus it keeps the false seer hidden).

Wolfson tries, but he’s been doing it using his nose and your asshole, so he hasn’t succeeded quite yet. We can’t see the “villager” or “wolf” or whatever was emailed to you. A valid argument against someone’s accusations does not include phrases like, “You’re a stupid head if you do this” or “you have blinders because you’re dumb”. Wolfson is always on top of me for “reaching” or “not having substance” in arguments but apparently had absolutely no problem with your arguments being at least one of those. I’m glad you think I’m villagery. I think i am, too. But for reals, stop calling me names.

If a seer comes forward saying they saw viola as a wolf, we learn something and the third seer knows they are the false seer (which is a good thing in my book).

It’s super easy to just give reads that indicate you know something. I don’t see mod-killable rules as particularly helpful. We’d spend the whole game tiptoing around things or saying things like “I can’t give any opinion about xxx.”

1) Wolf – rejoice!
2) Villager – rejoice!
3) Martyr – Well fuck. But he wasn’t going to be able to claim it to save himself, if he was even going to be around.
4) 3rd Seer – More fuck, because he’d be the reverse Seer which means actually useful. He COULD have claimed this. But if he was a Seer, I would have thought he’d claim it yesterday when he was a viable choice right up until lynch. I think this possibility is very improbable.

That being said, I can understand a vote on Ash. I can also advocate to the seers that they see DG or Inkarnit with the lean on Inkarnit, but that’s because I have one of my several apparent blinders on.
